SOUL CURRY

“I asked god to make the world beautiful
The almighty made flowers, the sky so wonderful.
I asked god to kill all my sorrows
He made me a child for tomorrow.”

I`ve a younger brother who proudly calls himself the leader of the gang of his notorious friends. Usually, they come at our place in the evening to play at the terrace. Few days back, all of them were to get their results and everyone passed out very well. A child was scoring good 80% marks but he came to our place crying. His parents thrashed him a lot as he was scoring only 10 marks more than his cousin studying in the same class. He was thrashed to such an extent that only words from his mouth were” I will leave this house……….I will kill them all…….”me and my brother somehow consoled him .I also tried to get in touch with his parents but they refused and didn`t wanted any “LECTURES”. But it left me in a doubt that who actually deserved that thrash? Who is actually responsible for that child`s such devilish behavior?

The case of the child who shot his classmate was extremely shameful. We all disgusted the child but did anyone of us tried to see who provided that little child that nasty thing?

A child is a new satisfied soul on this earth free from any greed or hatred. God has sent him from his school of love. Then, what actually makes such a snugly placed and selfless individual arrogant and aggressive?

A child is a growing soul. A thinking soul who wants to develop .but do we give him enough space for betterment. Parental laps are the safest place for a child where he can nurture his desires. Generally, parents decide their child`s career and are dominant on every step. They actually spoil his whole life and eventually his frustration comes out in a very dangerous way. Child should be treated with respect. How can anyone know that his future will not be equal to our present? If even a mentally ill man is left alone in a closed room, he will definitely become quiet. So, if we leave youngsters alone instead of goading them all the time, we will find that they gradually settle down and begin to make more correct choices in life.


Child has his own balance of good and bad choices. But this psychological balance is disturbed by the ill-aspects of the society. Fathers when not want to meet somebody ask their children to lie that they are not present at that spot. But when child lies to his parents about his exam`s results, friends et. Al. it becomes objectionable. If elders can drink and smoke before children how they can ask their children to stay away from such habits. If elders can cheat each other in business, why can`t children cheat in exams. If it`s humanity why then, blaming children.


Children do not have any materialistic needs .they need support and proper guidance of their elders. But today`s ATM-parents give them money instead of TIME. Child`s hunger for family fun and cuddles are all `gizmofied`. This ultimately makes child unsentimental and he never learns the true value of relationships. If we don`t allow a child to be a child, his childhood will come out afterwards .he`ll never become an adult.


Children are dependant, so they cannot complain their elders. But when a child grows, he realizes his elders’ mistakes which bring arrogance and disgust in his mind.
So, somewhere we have to improve ourselves before our children .if we give them appropriate space and affection, they will gradually settle down and begin to make more correct choices. The knock is to lead youngsters towards more independent thought and better autonomy and self-sufficiency.
